Continuing Education Requests

Many members of the Southeast Benefits Education Network need continuing education credits. The Conference makes a concerted effort to get as many of these credit hours as we can for you. Many state bar associations and other professional and licensing boards now require that we file as much as 60 days in advance of a meeting to secure the credits.

To the extent possible, the Conference will make appropriate filings with the requested bar associations or other professional or licensing boards in the following states:

  • Alabama
  • Florida
  • Louisiana
  • North Carolina
  • Texas Arkansas
  • Georgia
  • Maryland
  • South Carolina
  • Virginia District of Columbia
  • Kentucky
  • Mississippi
  • Tennessee
  • West Virginia

It will be the MEMBER'S RESPONSIBILITY to have the appropriate forms sent to the Conference office and to notify the Conference office of the desire to obtain credits from the bar or other professional or licensing board. Members may do this by e-mail or fax (must be in writing). Any filing fees required by the bar associations or other professional or licensing boards in the states listed above, will be paid by the Conference on behalf of the member. The Conference will pay CE/CPE/CLE filing fees up to 30 days after the event. The Conference will be happy to file requests after the 30 day deadline but participants requesting filings will be required to pay/reimburse the Conference for any expense incurred.

In all Conference registration materials, you will find a Continuing Education Request Form. Please complete the form fully. This written request should list the following information:

Organization name, address, phone number and (if appropriate) name of contact at the organization where you would like to receive credits. Your name, address, phone number and state bar or other professional or licensing board number. Whether you have contacted the relevant bar or other professional or licensing board to request that the appropriate forms and filing information be forwarded to the Conference.
