Speaker: Daniel T. SultonShareholder, Ogletree Deakins

Daniel is a member of the firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation practice group and focuses his practice in the area of employee benefit plan compliance and litigation. Daniel brings a unique perspective to his practice, having worked in human resources as a manager of employee benefit plans and payroll, in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company and in private practice. His experience serves his clients well as he advises employers on all aspects of health and welfare plan design, strategy and administration. He also counsels employers on retirement and executive compensation issues and represents clients in benefit plan litigation.

Speaker: Cynthia M. Sims, Associate Professor and program coordinator of the Master of Human Resource Development, Clemson University

Cynthia M. Sims is an Associate Professor and program coordinator of the Master of Human Resource Development, Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership, College of Education, Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, U.S.A. Her research focuses on the ways gender and diversity influences the enactment of leadership in the workplace. She was recognized with an Emerald Literati Award, Highly Commended 2019 for a research publication. Dr. Sims is the founder director and co-lead of Clemson’s gender equity leadership development and mentoring program for faculty an ADVANCE initiative. She has a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Sims was employed with a U.S. fortune 100 company, serving as the Director of Staff Operations, Director of Learning and Performance Improvement, and Director of Human Resources.

Moderator/Speaker: F. Randy Vogenberg, PhD, RPh, Principal, Institute for Integrated Healthcare

At his firm, he and his associates from the business, clinical, and scientific communities focus on commercial employee benefits, care delivery and outcomes research, education, and strategic benefit consulting on medical-legal, clinical or economic issues in commercial health care. Efforts for self-funded employers include innovative contracting, compliance, and holistic care cost management to drive high performing plans. 


Tanya D. Hughes, Director, Market Access Digital Therapeutics Orexo

Tanya has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years supporting over 10 disease states and over 20 products. She has spent the last 15 years with a focus on Market Access. The last 4 years focused on employers and education on Obesity as a disease. Her current focus is on mental health/behavioral health delivered via Digital Therapeutics as autonomous and/or adjunct therapy.

Speaker:  Shira Wilensky, National Practice Leader, Health & Wellbeing, One Digital
Shira brings 14 years of experience in corporate wellness and healthcare and an infectious enthusiasm for wellbeing.  Shira’s academic background includes a BS in Sports Medicine and an MS in Sports Administration from Florida State University. She has also completed coursework for her PhD in Health Services Research at UNC Charlotte and taught at the undergraduate level. Her area of study focused on primary care and appropriate healthcare utilization including: use of the Emergency Department, chronic disease management, and compliance with well-visits and preventive screenings.

Speaker: Lucy Roberts, PhD, Practice Specialist, National Health & Wellbeing Practice, One Digital
As a leader within OneDigital's Health and Wellbeing National Practice, Lucy helps support our customers through our philosophy that all employees need mental wellness support. Recently, she completed her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Alabama. She holds a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Georgia Tech. 

Speaker: Donna Hoffman, Ancillary & Specialty Benefits Market Director, One Digital
Donna is the Ancillary and Specialty Benefits Market Director for the OneDigital LEADS Teams (Life Events, Absence, and Disability Solutions). She provides innovative thought-leadership and is responsible for developing and deploying the Ancillary Benefits Philosophy and Strategy - Life, AD&D, STD, TAM, LTD, IDI/Sup. LTD, Executive, Specialty, LTC, and VB/Worksite for large, national employers.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM- Session 5: Hot Retirement Topics - Super Hot

Speaker: Johnny Wentzell, Principal, Jackson Lewis P.C.
Mr. Wentzell practices in the areas of employee benefits law, ERISA and taxation. Mr. Wentzell represents clients in the areas of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, ERISA, fringe benefits, and compliance with other federal laws relating to employee benefits matters. Mr. Wentzell assists clients in designing and drafting plans, advises clients regarding the legal requirements for operating and administering plans, and prepares and submits filings to the Internal Revenue Service.
